Sarah Hagenbush Jones recently shared footage of a bear family crossing a crowded pathway in California’s Yosemite National Park. She says although it was exciting to see the mom and her babies walk through, the bears were in between her and two of her own children.

“Yesterday, we were lucky enough to see a Mama Bear and her two cubs crossing the Glacier Point visitors center walkways!” Jones wrote in her Instagram post sharing the footage. “It was exciting but also a little scary that they walked right between me and two of my babies.”
Although not everyone in the crowd does what you’re supposed to do when you see a black bear (e.g., one man in the background is clearly running away), there were no issues. The bears and humans all went about their business after the bear family passed through.
