In the latest of a string of strange bear encounters in Colorado, a large black bear walked up to a man who was sitting in a chair reading a book, sniffed him, and then walked away. A bystander caught the moment on video, and local news tracked the man down to see what was going through his mind as the bear approached him.

According to CBS Colorado, reporter Karen Preiss was the person filming the strange encounter from behind, and the man is Andy Barrow, who was visiting Aspen from New York. He told CBS Colorado that he decided to remain as still and calm as possible, hoping that the bear would just walk on by.
