A viral video is serving as a warning to anyone who comes across wildlife in residential areas—don’t get too close . . . but really, don’t. The Untamed View, a company that offers guided tours in Colorado’s Rocky Mountain National Park, recently shared the video on social media, which shows a family walking down a street, ignoring a warning about an aggressive bull elk around the corner, but continuing on anyway. Then, the bull elk gets territorial, even briefly charging at a woman, who is thankfully able to get away.

“’I would not walk down that road, there is an aggressive bull elk’ we exclaimed to the nice family walking by,” wrote The Untamed View in the viral post. “’Yeah, [they’re] almost scary’, Greg responded. Watch Until The End . . . We hope this ‘almost scary’ moment serves as a reminder to respect wildlife, give them plenty of space, and always view them from a safe distance.”
Greg is apparently the older gentleman in the family. After the elk aggresses on the group and separates the man, one woman calls him “Greg,” and another calls him “Dad.”
The group appears to escape the animal unscathed, but it’s likely they have a different perspective on bull elk after the incident. Hopefully, many others will learn from the situation as well.
