Bystanders watched in confusion as a man walked through a field at Yellowstone National park, closely followed by a wild wolf. Deric Smith recorded footage of the scene using the zoom on his camera. He notes in the video that the wolf had been following the man for about five minutes before the recording started.

At one point, the man turns around and sprays the wolf with what appears to be bear spray. The spray worked, and the wolf stopped tailing the man, although it doesn’t exactly go away, either. Smith doesn’t share any information about where in Yellowstone this happened or what happened after the video recording stopped.
