Jared Yochim was standing by as a large debris flow near Marysville, Utah, passed by him. His video made local news and garnered nearly a million views; it’s just not something you see every day.

In the footage, a rolling flood of mud and tree branches marches ominously closer to where Yochim is standing. The flash flood follows a riverbed, then hits a bridge with a narrower opening, which slows the flow. Several people are monitoring the situation, and one person speaks on a radio, ordering crews to close the road that goes over the bridge.
