For many of us, a moose is very far down on the list of potential animals you might see running through the street in the middle of the day. However, in Røros, Norway, seeing a moose barrel down the street is a possibility—and it happened last month, to the delight of many locals and tourists. Kari Kjørsvik Berge was one of the witnesses, so she caught a video of the random running moose and posted it to Instagram.
“Only in Norway! A surprise VIP guest stormed down the main street of Røros,” wrote norge on Instagram, sharing Berge’s footage. “A full grown moose on a solo city tour! Locals and tourists were stunned as it galloped through the historic town like it owned the place.”

“Make way for King of the Forest!” wrote one person in the comments section.
“We have ‘bike lanes’ in California. Maybe they need a ‘Moose Lane’ in rural Norway,” joked another.
However, a Canadian in the comments section just couldn’t let the “only in Norway” part go.
“Only in Norway? *laughs in Canadian*,” the person wrote.
