Apparently, if you live in Alaska, you might eventually come across a baby moose sitting in the middle of the road. This happened to @homesteadhomegirlak, although she says it was a first in her 45 years living in the state. A viral video on her Instagram page shows the baby moose and, notably, the moment a helpful person decided to lift the moose over the barrier to get it out of traffic and back to its mother on the other side of the barrier.

“After 45 years of living in Alaska, you’d think I’d have seen it all. Alaska, naturally, took that as a personal challenge this weekend,” wrote @homesteadhomegirlak in her Instagram post. “[. . . ] Thankfully, a man in a truck stopped, picked up the calf, and carried him safely across to his mom while traffic patiently waited.”
