A wildlife photographer caught a truly wild moment on film—a grizzly bear and a wolf both going for the same animal carcass in Yellowstone National Park. Julie Argyle Wildlife Photography recently shared her video on social media, and it has over 635,000 views on Facebook, prompting her to share additional footage from the two animals’ standoff.
“Volume up!!! What an incredible encounter this morning,” Argyle wrote in her video’s caption.

In the footage, a grizzly bear is ripping apart of a large animal carcass in a river. A wolf wants a piece of the prize and comes in for a bite, but the bear isn’t open to that idea and fights it off.
“That wolf must’ve been starving,” wrote one person in the comments section. “All rational thought apparently went out the window.”
“I don’t think the bear wants to share. Gotta give it to the wolf for trying,” wrote another.
