A camping couple were the first to realize that bears had broken into their campground neighbors’ RV, so they did the best they could to scare the bears away. A video of their effort shows the mama bear sticking her head out of the ripped screen door on the RV, then crawling through the hole in response to the racket the helpful couple was making. Then, a baby bear’s head appears, and the baby exits, too.

“After a nice morning fishing and afternoon picnic we came back to our campground to find this!” wrote James and Shanna Patton in their Instagram post sharing the video. “We were the first people to see the mama bear & her cub doing the damage right in the middle of the day. While there were some people around, there were not many and it was quiet. We . . . yelled clapped our hands, honked the Truck horn and made as much noise as we could until she [finally] went away. She came back 3 times to that 5th wheel to get more hamburger meat out of their Refrigerator that she ripped open.”
Many people in the comments section assume that the RV owners accidentally left the door open, but the Pattons wrote in a comment reply that the door was actually locked.
