black bear charges screen door

“Never assume a screen door will protect you from a charging bear,” advises Ashleigh Banfield, who hosts the Drop Dead Serious Podcast. Banfield recently shared footage of a black bear repeatedly charging at the screen door at her mother’s home in Canada. The person taking the video was apparently a guest to the house, and he/she seemed to think the bear wouldn’t be able to break the screen door, if it really wanted to. Thankfully, it didn’t break the door.

“A Drop Dead Serious moment at my mom’s house just a few hours ago. Everyone’s ok,” Banfield wrote in her Instagram post sharing the video. “But a guest who was staying over perhaps figured that bears aren’t dangerous.”
