Two men were camping with a group on Tomales Bay near San Francisco, California, when they decided to head out on a midnight canoe trip to see bioluminescence in the bay. Sadly, they never returned. First responders found both men’s bodies in the bay the next morning, and reports suggest they were wearing life jackets.

The Marin County Sheriff’s Office Coroner Division has released the mens’ identities. Casey Flynn Melia was a 36 years old and lived in San Francisco. The second victim was Alexander Ferguson, a 37-year-old resident of Pacifica. There are no additional details about the cause of their deaths at this time.
