It’s fun and a little creepy to think about how many animals are watching us as we’re out in nature. Most often, animals see humans before humans see animals—and a lot of times, humans never see the animals at all. For one hiker with an incredibly good eye, a speck of a frog on a tree was well aware he or she was there, and then the hiker miraculously spotted the frog, too. Can you find it, though?
Reddit user @abesterre posted a photo this week on the thread r/FindTheSniper, in which people share photos with well-hidden items or well-camouflaged animals. The animal ones are particularly fun.
In this case, it’s a picture of a tree trunk with rough and textured tree bark and just a little variation in color, ranging from gray to brown to green. @Abesterre shared the photo with the tantalizing title: “Spotted this frog while hiking.” And the moderators rated the challenge as “expert” level, which is the highest difficulty rating.
People in the comments doubt there really is a frog here, because it’s so hard to find. Take look for yourself and then scroll for a couple of hints and, ultimately, the answer.
Can you find the frog?
Hint 1: The frog is in the lower half of the photo slightly left of the mid-line.
Hint 2: Try turning your device 90° clockwise to help you see the frog.

Here is the frog outlined in red:
How long did it take you to spot that?
