A man walking through a forested area heard chirps, and at first, it seems like he might be hearing the odd chirps of a mountain lion. The man even says, “There’s a mountain lion talking to me; he sounds just like a bird.” But when the man finds the source of the chirping, it’s not a mountain lion at all. It’s another animal that chirps like a bird—a marmot.

The man zooms up on the marmot but keeps up his ruse, saying: “That’s him right there. I think I’ll move on.”
A post sharing the video has a caption that reads: “He was hella intimidating.”
Of course, the marmot was not intimidating, but it does make for a funny video.
Turn your sound up to hear a marmot chirping below (or watch here).
