The Chico Police Department shared a post on Facebook that demonstrates how careful we all need to be during snake season. In this case, a rattlesnake was blending in brilliantly amongst the wood chips of a playground in Chino, California.

In fact, the rattler is so camouflaged in the police department’s photos that it’s hard to see . . . even once you know it’s there somewhere.

Have you ever come across a snake in an interesting place? Thankfully, in this case, no one was injured. The police department says if you ever come across a venomous snake like a rattlesnake, you should stop, stay calm, slowly back away, maintain a safe distance from the animal, maintain a visual on it, and call for help.
