It’s time to choose a winner in this year’s Fat Bear Week competition. The final two contenders are Bear 910 and Bear 89, aka “Backpack.” Fat Bear Week celebrates the success of brown bears in Alaska’s Katmai National Park as they chunk up before their long winter sleep. Explore.org runs this very non-serious competition every year, and it draws a ton of media attention and votes from all around the world.

So, now, the only question is: Which bear will win?

“There can only be one,” wrote Explore.org in its post promoting the final vote. “Go VOTE at fatbearweek.org and choose your ultimate 2026 fighter.”
