This little guy was just getting into the holiday spirit. After all, maybe he is like me, and he is a last-minute Christmas shopper. At least that is what I choose to believe. Police officers shared the footage of the moment that this deer seemingly got lost and barreled into a Christmas shop.

Deer Runs Amok In A Christmas Shop

Tennessee police officers sure do have a sense of humor. They saw the irony in this situation and did not miss the chance to make some holly jolly jokes about the situation. Body cam footage showed the deer as it tore through the Christmas shop.

The poor thing was so spooked that it was knocking into ornaments and spilling things down all of the aisles. Officers shared the footage along with some clever jokes about the entire ordeal. In their post, they wrote that one of Santa’s Reindeer was “clearly three sips too deep into the Holiday Spirits and making terrible life choices.”

Then they further joked that the poor deer was running about as if he were “trying to remember where he parked the sleigh.”

Officers Handle The Scene

To their credit, the police officers handled the scene brilliantly. They waited patiently for the deer to calm down. Unfortunatley, the poor thing got so spooked it ran face-first into a chair and got stuck there. One of the officers gently approached the animal and grabbed it by the rear legs.

I will admit, the noise that erupted from the deer was not something I expected. I don’t know what noise I thought deer made, but that frantic bleating was not it. Luckily, the officers succeeded in removing the deer from both the chair and the Christmas shop.

They let the deer go with a warning as they calmly escorted them outside.
