Great Gear for Outdoor Lovers

For those people who love to spend time outdoors but still feel drawn to their devices when they have cell service, Brick is the perfect solution. The Brick itself is a physical device—a small, magnetic block that you can attach to any magnetic surface or throw in your gear bag—and, together with the accompanying app, it’ll change your life by helping you minimize screen time.
The subscription-free app for Android and iOS blocks distractions, allowing users to focus on what’s in front of them. For outdoor lovers, this could be mountains, rivers, or a campfire . . . anything but a screen and an inbox full of to-dos.
To use, create customized programs by blocking specific apps or entire categories of apps. When you want to start a customized program, open the Brick app, select the appropriate “Mode”/program, and touch your device to the physical Brick device. It’ll “brick” up your device and let you focus on the real world instead of getting sucked into the digital one.
This is a simple and effective solution for maximizing outdoor time (or time spent working, time with family, etc.), and it’d make a great gift.
Brick is having a 20% holiday sale for a limited time.

For backpackers and camping enthusiasts, Sea to Summit’s Frontier Collapsible One Pot Cook Set is the ultimate upgrade to their essential gear. I love Sea to Summit’s clever gear designs, and this convenient pot set is no different. The 1L pot collapses into itself (it also nests select other Sea to Summit products), and it includes a lid and a handle that magnetically clicks into place.
The pot doubles as a bowl, of course, and it’s made from food-grade silicone, making it both durable and lightweight. In fact, it weighs only 9.1 ounces and packs down to about 1 inch. The pot’s base is anodized aluminum, which delivers a fast boil and efficient heat transfer.

High Camp Flasks offers a lot of wonderful gifts for outdoor lovers. One set that won’t break the bank is the 10.5-ounce 6-Shooter Tumblers—a perfect addition to your camping gear. For those times you want to sip some spirits around the campfire, these elevated and well-crafted tumblers will make you feel right at home. (They’re also a perfect addition to the Firelight Flask.)
This two pack of stainless-steel tumblers offers double-wall vacuum insulation, keeping your liquids cool without freezing your fingers. They arrive in a wool felt travel case for on-the-go enjoyment, which is perfect for gifting.

Does the outdoor lover on your list need a new sleeping bag, or would they enjoy an upgrade? White Duck makes quality gear, and the company’s new Slumbernest sleeping bag is so nice. My favorite features are the soft flannel lining, the premium zippers (because who hasn’t dealt with snags before?), and the clever pillow space.
The Slumbernest has a durable, rip-resistant outer shell with a flannel lining in a cute color combination. The high-loft insulation will keep you warm, and you can choose from four warmth options: 0°F, 20°F, 30°F, and 50°F. I have the 30°F version.
White Duck has added several nice touches, includes an inner pocket, a wedge-shaped foot box for extra space, and a padded draft collar to help keep heat inside the bag. The two-way, snag-free zipper is a huge plus, and (another bonus), this sleeping bag fully unzips, so you can also use it as a blanket.

ActionHeat 5V Insulated Puffer Battery-Heated Jacket with Hood – Men’s and Women’s

Know someone who has to be or chooses to be out in the cold this winter? A heated jacket is just the thing that person wants for the holiday. ActionHeat’s heated jackets for men and women will keep outdoor lovers warm, thanks to the included 5V battery kit.
This insulated puffer jacket is the real deal. It’s comfortable, lightweight, durable, and, of course, warm. A 5-volt 6000maH power bank warms the chest and back areas, and it can even charge your phone or any USB-charged device. A one-touch LED button offers three different heat settings (low, medium, and high), and the jacket is even machine washable.
My husband is obsessed with this jacket, and all of his friends and co-workers are jealous.

Heated slippers are an excellent gift idea for anyone who gets cold feet during the winter. The ActionHeat Rechargeable Battery Heated Cable Knit Slippers are made from a wool blend, and they have a comfy, fuzzy lining. Best of all, the rechargeable 5V batteries can last up to five hours, giving you warm feet, even if it’s freezing outside.
I wear these heated slippers every day in my house (I’m wearing them right now), and I will definitely be bringing them on our next winter camping trip. There are three heat settings and small zippered pockets on each slipper for the small battery pack. You really can’t go wrong gifting these!

A stylish flannel is a solid apparel gift for someone who loves the outdoors. Howler Brothers’ new Salvo Hooded Flannel is made from 100% heavyweight cotton flannel—it’s like wearing a blanket (and looking good at the same time). It has a cotton hood and drawcord, custom metal buttons, and reinforced elbow patches for durability.
This plaid hoodie comes in two colors, duck brown (pictured) and midnight, and it’s a whole vibe. The heavy cotton flannel is perfect for chilly evenings around the campsite, and it’s so snuggly, it’ll be hard for loved ones not to cuddle up when you’re wearing it.

KÜHL is one of my favorite outdoor-apparel brands. The company’s HYGGE ½ ZIP does not disappoint. Made from mélange sherpa fleece, the ultra-soft sweater will keep you warm while also looking ready for a casual holiday party or a cozy evening around a campfire. I personally love the kangaroo pockets and the beautiful ribbon trim.
The HYGGE comes in four different colors and five sizes. You can also choose from several different versions of this piece, including the ½ zip (pictured), a long version that goes below the waist, a pullover with a high collar, and a vest.
Muck Boots Arctic Weekend Mid Boot – Men’s and Women’s

Is it time for some new winter boots? I’m a huge fan of Muck Boots’ Arctic Weekend Mid Boots. They’re incredibly lightweight, so I don’t feel like I have weights strapped to my feet. They’re also grippy, easy to pull on, and sleek looking.
The Arctic Weekend Mid Boots are 100% waterproof, so there’s no need to worry about your socks getting wet while you’re wearing them. Plus, the boots have a nice fleece lining to help keep your feet warm. There’s also enough of a cushion to be comfortable for all-day use. What more can you ask for in a boot?
If you’re between sizes, I recommend sizing down.

Tifosi Optics’ Swank sunglasses for both men and women are an affordable gift that are sure to please. There are two dozen color combinations, with a handful of polarized options in there as well, so there’s bound to be a pair for everyone.
These sunglasses are stylish, lightweight, and they don’t slip off your face, thanks to Tifosi Optics’ hydrophilic nose pads. It’s never too early to get ready for sunny season. Any outdoor lover will be thrilled to unwrap these!
